SAT test is primarily taken by the students who seek admission in the colleges of US. After being introduced in 1926, this test has undergone various changes. Recently drastic changes have been noticed in Redesigned SAT 2016. There are various differences between old SAT and new SAT<\/a>, students can view these changes. Some students have a query- why should I take SAT test or Why was this SAT test introduced?<\/p>\n

  1. SAT tests your basic skills:<\/strong> During SAT, students are examined on the basis of their reading, writing and mathematics skills.     SAT Score Pattern<\/h2>\n

    There are 2 sections in redesigned SAT 2016- Reading\/Writing with optional essay and Maths. There are 154 questions<\/strong> in SAT to be accomplished in 3 hours 50 minutes<\/strong>. 52 in reading section to be completed in 65 minutes, 35 minutes to complete 44 questions of writing, 58 questions of maths in 80 minutes and one optional essay. For every right answer you will be graded with 1 mark and if wrong, \u00bc marks will be deducted which may lower your overall score. In SAT it is advisable not to make more guesses or just avoid guesses. Each section of SAT (Reading\/writing and maths) will be graded at a scale of 800.<\/p>\n

    Combining the scores of both sections, you will be awarded with final scores and that is your SAT result. Try to attain the scores more than an average score. Answer all the questions if you know that you can score well easily otherwise attempt only those questions that you are sure about.
