IELTS Vocabulary List For Modest User

IELTS Exam demands rich vocabulary that always improves overall band score. Though, all four sections require your high level of understanding, Speaking and Writing sectors require comparatively more preparation.

  1. Esteemed
    Meaning: think highly of
    Sentence: We are going to name our new football field after our esteemed coach.
  2. Vague
    Meaning: not precisely clear

  3. Catastrophe
    Meaning: extremely harmful, unfortunate
    Sentence: My speech was a total catastrophe.
  4. Alias
    Meaning: name assumed temporarily

  5. Bashful
    Meaning: self-consciously timid

    Meaning: genuine or real

    Meaning: dull, lacking excitement
