CELPIP Test in India

The CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) test is now available in India. Its first test center was inaugurated in Chandigarh, India on September 15th, 2018. It is the best alternative to the IELTS test available for Indian residents who wish to settle as Permanent Resident in Canada. In addition to India, CELPIP is available in four more countries: United States, Philippines, United Arab Emirates, and Canada.

The above test is Canadaโ€™s leading English languageย test that fairly assesses a person’s proficiency in the English language based on four factors: Speaking (15-20 minutes), Writing (53-60 minutes), Reading (55-60 minutes), and Listening (47-55 minutes). These sections are commonly known as modules.

Unlike IELTS, CELPIP is a computer-based test designed by the government of Canada. An individual must score equal to the CLB LEVEL โ€“ Canadian Language Benchmark 7. It is expected to see a growth in the number of CELPIP test centers across India.
